If I sold my home "by owner" & the buyer had an agent, would that agent take care of all of the paperwork?

I’m considering selling my home FSBO and offering commission to the buyer’s agent. Would that agent take care of the contract, closing paperwork, etc?

We have been working with a realtor for 8 mos trying to find the right home (he’s a personal friend). We just found a FSBO house and the owner is saying they’re only willing to pay ,500 for a realtor to handle the paperwork.

We have put this guy through the ringer and I cannot leave him high & dry. Normally the commission to him on this deal would be abt k. I was going to propose that we simply bump the offer price up accordingly. But that would mean the seller and our realtor would need to have a contract of some sort to ensure he’s actually paid out of the proceeds.

Can anyone tell me how that works or offer suggestions here? Google searches generally produce just "should I sell myself or use a realtor" discussion.

Thanks for the response. However, we don’t have the cash to pay him out of pocket. We need to roll it into the loan.
Thanks Ciera. But when you say you "can’t stack the loan", how is that any different from a non-FSBO purchase? The commissions are paid out of the proceeds usually, right?

I think we’re both saying the same thing. You’re just suggesting that the seller hire my realtor for a percentage commission, correct?

if so, can you tell me if it correct that once the buyer agree to buy, they need to go to the mortgage to get approve on the loan and if they got approved, the mortgage will do all paperwork right?

Selling home we just bought a year ago due to a job change out of state- job is paying double than we are making now so we have to move! Have home for sale by owner and have send flyers to local real estate agents, have had 2 open houses with several people coming back to look this weekend. Only been on the market for 16 days.
I agreed to pay an agent 3% if they found someone to buy the house- is that a fair price?
Also, a coworker of mine wants to now buy it (paying the asking price) after looking with a realtor for the past 6 months but only if I pay the broker a fee- what is fair and acceptable to an agent in this scenario- she didn’t find the house for her client but I want her to take care of the paperwork. I am thinking a flat fee instead of a percentage???
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!!
I never advertised the 3%- it was only if a broker came to me with a question and if someone wanted to buy it that I would tell them. In both of these cases I have only heard from the people buying the house- not the broker. That is why I am confused!

Sorry for this late reply but I was unable to check my e-mail until now. The car is in good running condition and comes with a clear title. There is no lien on it there will be no monthly payments no take over payments just final price. It’s a non smoker car with zero mechanical/electrical problems no damages or accidents.
I am looking to sell it right away for 00 (shipping and title transfer fees included). There is a reason for selling it for such a low price but it’s just something personal that has nothing to do with the car’s condition and I’m not willing to discuss it so please don’t ask.
I would like to use a third party service to handle this transaction for our both safety and comfort. Yahoo Autos offers a third party service of course for a small fee. I have applied and I’m willing to pay for their fee if you agree using their service. hi. i am underwater on my mortgage and need to sell my condo. i am going to use a flat fee MLS listing and pay the buyers agent to reduce my costs. i have owned and sold another condo in the past so i am somewhat familar with the process. however, i want to correspond with someone who knows the process so I am more clear on the steps, exchanges of paperwork, etc. can anyone help?

I have been looking at a lot of flat fee realtor services. Essentially, it is still FSBO, but I pay a flat fee and get MLS listing, signs, flyers, lockbox, paperwork, etc. Would this be a good option?
